Recruitment Consultant – Internal Communications - London - £30k basic plus commission

Job Description:

My client is currently searching for a consultant to join it's market leading, Internal Communications Practice.  The role includes:

  • Build and develop relationships with candidates
  • Interview candidates and ensure the correct registration procedures are adhered to using the database
  • Help candidates with some career counsel e.g. CV hints and tips, as appropriate
  • Grow existing client relationships, re-establish old ones and generate new business via company marketing initiatives and cross-selling
  • Secure face-to-face client visits to build knowledge, establish rapport and powerfully present the benefits of working with you as an individual
  • Take advantage of networking opportunities 
  • Prepare advertising copy for any client paid advertising
  • Take part in the planning and executing of annual marketing plans for your practice area
  • Attend any marketing events that take place, including out of hours events
  • Follow up client enquiries and sales leads
  • Keep abreast of industry developments through research and examination of relevant media to increase market awareness
  • Build and maintain a relevant network of business contacts – clients and candidates

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Demonstrable recruitment consultancy experience or direct experience in your field of recruitment
  • Good listening and questioning skills and an ability to make sound assessments of people’s abilities
  • A natural interest in people and their development
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong administrative ability with high attention to detail and the ability to follow tasks through to completion
  • A positive, adaptable and flexible attitude is required as you will be dealing with all levels and cultures of candidates and clients
  • A broad understanding of the business environment
