Consultant Senior Appointments - Charity - London - £35k basic plus commission

Role Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to provide a market leading recruitment service to employers and senior candidates in the beyond profit sector; performing full management of assignments including taking client briefs, market analysis, interviewing, assessment and presentation of candidates, negotiations, and successful placements. Consultants undertake proactive candidate development, client management and relationship-building to generate new opportunities for their team and company-wide.

Your performance will be analysed against key performance indicators which are reported on a monthly basis.
 
Key responsibilities
To meet income targets and other KPIs through:
• Comprehensive recruitment service to clients, working on a broad range of senior vacancies
• Initiating and nurturing ongoing and developing new relationships with clients and candidates
• Enhancing the reputation of Prospectus in the marketplace through a professional, committed interaction with clients and candidates
• Supporting business development and account management in line with company wide and team specific objectives
• Searching for candidates using Prospectus’ candidate database
• Advertising for candidates on various websites
• Interviewing and assessing candidates for specific roles and on a general basis
• Undertaking ad hoc projects, for the benefit of Prospectus, as part of your personal development
• Proactively sharing ideas, market intelligence and information about candidates, clients and vacancies with your colleagues to ensure optimal success within the team and the entire business

Skills and Experience Required
• Previous recruitment consultant experience
• Judgement – proven ability to make effective business recommendations
• Facilitation – enabling clients and candidates to make the right decisions
• Building relationships - interacting sensitively, using effective networks
• Planning and organising – identifying the steps to be taken to achieve objectives within agreed timescales
• Good communication skills including the ability to deliver effective presentations to clients
• Good problem solving skills and ability to prioritise
• Experience of effective team working

Basic Requirements
• A good level of education, professional, committed and target driven
• Proven experience of successfully recruiting to senior/ executive roles
• Experience in/interest in the beyond profit sector
• Personable and approachable

Terms and Benefits
• Salary dependent on skills and experience
• Full time working hours are 37.5 a week with start/ finish times to be agreed with line manager - some flexibility will be required for additional working for scheduled projects
• 23 days pro rata annual leave, rising to 25 days at 2 years service and 30 days at 5 years service
