HEAD OF DIVISION / VP - London City - Up to £60k

Role Summary:

My Client’s Head of Division is responsible for ensuring their division hits annual sales target and consistently achieves monthly sales target set.  The sales target is achieved through ensuring minimum KPIs are met by everyone on the team on a monthly basis.  The Head of Division recruits trains and performance manages employees to ensure the team has the right people in place to grow year on year. The Head of Division is responsible for reviewing, training, mentoring and developing team members from Managers to Resourcers, to maximise performance.  Regular reviews and appraisals are conducted by the Manager to ensure employees are achieving target and developing.  An essential part of this role is critiquing each Manager and /or consultant’s desk to ensure their portfolio of clients and roles will enable them to deliver their expected target and that they are developing and growing each client relationship.  My Client’s Head of Division maintains a birds-eye view of their division and sets the pace on the department by leading by example.  The Head of Division ensures each client receives a high quality service, checking in with clients regularly and that roles are filled in a timely manner.  The Head of Division attends meetings with clients regularly and represents my Client as a senior brand ambassador at all times.  My Client’s Head of Division looks to exploit opportunities and advises innovative solutions in order to benefit their team and the business as a whole. The Head of Division is responsible for working in collaboration with all my Client’s teams and promoting working in collaboration to their team and internally, to best deliver great results to their clients.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales:
• Team to meet minimum monthly, quarterly and annual sales target set
• Consistent minimum team sales target achieved every month with good contribution from all team members
• Promote my Client’s services and brand to clients and candidates as an ambassador for the business across all areas


Business Development:
• Attend client visits regularly with consultants to keep in the loop and ensure the meeting is held to a high standard
• Develop business with clients across all divisions
• Driving the team to achieve all minimum BD KPIs with focus on output i.e. jobs and visits
• Versatile and confident to present at P.S.L tenders with global clients and small businesses.  Confident to sell retained solutions


Client Management:
• Acting as a buffer for clients if an issue requires the Head of Division’s input.  Speaking directly with a client to resolve any queries or problems with service to their client of paramount importance
• Ensuring all clients are visited by the account manager and depending on client/purpose of visit that Head of Division attends, and/or other senior members from relevant divisions
Team Management, Training and Development:
• Advising and training team members on best practice recruitment and selection following my Client’s training manual
• Ensure team effectively use database, progress sheet, candidate list and all my Client’s processes are adhered to
• Assisting consultants in screening applications and shortlisting applicants
• The role of an assessor at an assessment centre
• Develop plans to expand the division and discuss with your line manager, including annual sales budget and headcount intake plan
• Overseeing large projects through to completion
• Succession planning
• Regular weekly 121s, monthly appraisals and annual reviews.  All documented.

Organisation, Planning and Administration:
• Writing high quality job advertisements and deciding where the best place for their team to advertise is, adjusting advertising boards accordingly
• Preparing other recruitment material as required for e-shots, brochures, marketing material
• Ts and Cs signed for all clients and uploaded on the DB
• Ensuring team uses the DB for all information storage and day to day contact with candidates and clients are tracked
• Developing creative recruitment solutions if the organisation is experiencing difficulties in attracting the appropriate level and quality of staff
• Devising, running and evaluating selection processes including interviews, personality tests, group assessment
• Keep up to date with current employment legislation and ensure line managers are effectively briefed on any relevant changes
• Manage compliance within the business team and work with admin to ensure best practice
• Produce reports to the Director & Board as requested relating to the performance of division/ business area

Contributing to new ideas for the business:
• Designing or revising internal processes to streamline systems and effectiveness
• Innovative solutions provided to clients and internally

Internal Recruitment and Selection:
• Responsible for the recruitment and selection of new team members in line with business plan to ensure departmental growth and right people are in the right place

Communication:
• Excellent communication internally and externally, professional, transparent & with good moral values

Market Knowledge:
• Head Of Division to have strong market knowledge of the industry, competitor activity and their sector to ensure they are credible with clients and internally when making recommendations and consulting

Progression:
• Manage your own PDP
• Use quarterly appraisals to gain support and guidance whilst discussing your career goals and ambitions and how to achieve these
• Proactively work on areas of development
