Senior Recruitment Consultant (Interim Desk, Internal Communication) - London - Up to £35k basic + Commission, OTE £100k+

My client is one of the fastest-growing internal communication and employee engagement agencies in Europe – a dynamic business with a ten-year track record and a blue chip client list to die for.

Now, to enable the next phase of their ambitious growth strategy, they’re looking to bolster their team with the appointment of an ambitious Senior Recruitment Consultant. This role will be a crucial addition to a new, dedicated team focused on developing their specialist interim consultant business.

Based at their London office, near Tower Bridge, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining relationships with their existing network of talented freelance/interim internal communication, employee engagement and change professionals
  • Growing this candidate pool via LinkedIn, headhunting, referrals and networking (online and in person)
  • Building relationships with their existing client base over the phone and in person to identify resource requirements in internal communication / employee engagement
  • Proactively developing new client relationships and pursuing leads to grow your client base
  • Working with their clients to agree brief specifics, and manage recruitment process through brief through to placement, including but not limited to: sourcing and identifying qualified candidates to put forward for roles, organising interviews and feedback, undertaking fee and salary negotiations, ensuring signed terms of business are in place, and accurately maintaining data on their CRM system throughout.
  • Maintain contact with clients and candidates for duration of assignment to ensure success of placement and help to identify cross-selling opportunities for their wider business.
  • Proactively work with teams internally to support marketing activities to raise the profile of the company’s interim offering.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong track record in interim, freelance or contract recruitment, gained in a communications specialism – whether internal communication, employee engagement, marketing, PR or a related field. You will demonstrate a consultative approach and an emphasis on building long-term relationships – both with candidates and clients. And you will have the ability to identify, reach, and influence key decision makers in large, complex organisations.

The compensation will comprise a basic salary of £35,000 and a very attractive bonus scheme, with realistic annual earnings potential of £100k+ and no upward ceiling. Indeed, my client’s expectation is to be paying significantly more than this. Commission will be paid quarterly based on performance and consultant related revenue, including consultant-referred cross sales.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are vital, as this role will involve initiating a significant amount of telephone calls and meetings. Experience with a CRM system, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and social media is preferable. Comfortable with technology, you’ll be happy working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
